American Idol Top 11 Recap - Adam Lambert’s “Ring of Fire”

Okay, he is cute and all, I get it, but he just doesn’t do it for me, if you get what I mean. And it’s not because of his status or anything. Anyway, this (and probably more to come!) post is for Adam Lambert fans.

Adam Lambert has been doing really well in American Idol, although according to some hardcore AI fans, his performance was somewhat mediocre last week when he had to sing a country number.

He sang “Ring of Fire” by Johnny Cash and since then, he has received criticisms by many. When I was surfing earlier today, I came across a blog, where the blogger wrote, “I hope that Adam Lambert will lose the competition because he killed Johnny Cash’s most memorable song.” Ouch! Talk about blatant criticism!

Adam Lambert is singing “The Tracks of My Tears” by The Miracles for this week’s Motown theme. Let’s see how he does. I think he’s going to do well, but he needs to tone down his performance, as he comes across as over-the-top to some people. Good luck, Adam!

    IMHO, he butchered Ring Of Fire.. although he can play the originality-make-it-his-own card which is fair.

    Anyways, can’t wait to see what the contestants bring to the table this week.. :) :)

    Hi Shem! I haven’t watched his Ring of Fire performance, but from what I’ve read, it was OTT.

    I think he needs to kurangkan his OTT-ness lah, if not, more and more ppl will get bored. Like, what’s new kan? We already know he can sing and perform.

    A toned down performance is what he needs right now, but seeing that it’s Motown week, cannot la sing Motown mellow2 kan? ;)

    What theme is it this week?? I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with. Competition is so tight now. Steve really needs to step up his game, though. Steve is the blind guy’s name, right debbs?

    But anyways, I really can’t wait to see this week! Should be really interesting! :)

    hey those pics are great! he looks so cute and i used those pics on my binder covers! i thought adam did great in “Ring of Fire”. it was not my favorite performance but he still rocked it and lookd super hot!!! <3
