I love teen movies and it’s been a while since I last watched an entertaining teenage movie. The last teen movie I watched was Superbad. It was awesome!
Anyway, here’s another teen comedy movie about a nerd who confessed his love for Beth Cooper during his valedictorian speech. The movie stars Hayden Panettiere, Lauren London, Lauren Storm and Jack Carpenter. It’s due out on 10th July 2009.
This week, I’m featuring a double Music Monday. I remember falling for Damon Albarn (Blur) the first time I saw the Boys and Girls music video. And isn’t Saffron of Republica is just so sassy? These songs are for those who are into Brit music. Enjoy! :)
Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. One simple rule, leave ONLY the actual post link here. You can grab this code at LJL Please note these links are STRICTLY for Music Monday participants only. All others will be deleted without prejudice.
Mia Wasikowska (pronounced as Vash-i-kov-ska) is the next young star to watch. She has been chosen to play the role of Alice in Tim Burton’s interpretation of Alice in Wonderland (2010).
Other actors that will be seen in the movie are Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar and Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts, to name a few.
“We met a lot of people, but she just had that certain kind of emotional toughness, standing her ground in a way that makes her kind of an older person but with a younger person’s mentality.” -Tim Burton
Mia is an Australian actress and she has gained critical acclaim for her acting in HBO’s In Treatment, opposite Gabriel Byrne. She was also nominated for her performance in Suburban Mayhem (2006). I’m hoping to see Mia Wasikowska in action real soon, and knowing that it’s a Tim Burton movie, I expect nothing but perfection.
Mia will be seen in Amelia (2009), a biographical film about Amelia Earhart, alongside Hilary Swank, Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor.
