Cullen Family Crest - Meanings Behind the Symbols & Twilight-inspired Jewelries

Published by phatelara at 8:58 pm under Celeb Stuff, Movies Edit This

cullen-family-crest-twilight.jpgThe Cullen family crest comprises of a lion with a hand over its head, and a downward pointing chevron with 3 clovers. The lion was added because of the famous line “And so the Lion fell in love with the Lamb”, but the other portions (chevron, clovers, and hand) are from the actual Cullen Coat of Arms, although there are fewer clovers (2), more hands (3), and a sheaf of wheat on the real one. The lion symbolises dauntless courage, the hand is a symbol of pledge of faith, sincerity, and justice, while the shamrock symbolises perpetuity. The chevron, on the other hand, is a symbol of protection. [Source]

In the movie Twilight, each of the Cullen family members wore the Cullen family crest. Dr. Carlisle Cullen wore a ring, Esme wore a bracelet, Rosalie wore a pendant necklace, Alice wore a pendant choker, and the Cullen boys, Emmet, Jasper and Edward all wore wrist bands. The Cullen family crest and the jewelry pieces are designed by Artisan’s Jewelry & Gallery especially for the movie.

Here’s a piece of jewelry with the Cullen family crest. It’s not the exact design as the ones worn in the movie, but close enough. You can also see another one that looks just like the one worn by Alice Cullen aka Ashley Greene.

Twilight Crest Locket Necklace

This hematite tone necklace features a locket with the Cullen family crest. Inside includes pictures of Bella and Edward. 22” long. Lobster clasp. Base metal. Imported.
